This new Mama is in love. She is so lucky to have a beautiful big sister helper. This joined family is perfect together. I loved getting to celebrate their newest little love. She was perfection.
Little girl babies are so dainty. I love watching the session evolve as the parents pick out colors and details to use in the photos. Of course it has my style. BUT I think it is overwhelmingly YOUR style.

Daddy and Me
This daddy received this session as a gift! I realize many Dad's don't love a photo session. They don't like wake up in the morning thinking, "Today, I really feel like chasing my children around in an outfit I would never wear that my wife picked out, being told where to stand and allow my child to behave like a maniac." Yikes! Yes! It can feel that way. My goal and (one of this years resolution plans) is to steer away from that!
I want there to be less pressure. I don't know if dad (or mom) will ever truly love a photo session. BUT I know you love the results! I also know this dad is a super hero! He got all these handsome boys dressed and here to the studio. They had a blast and we were finished in about 25ish minutes.

That is what she said?!?! This big sister is like, she needs her own reality show. She is darling and kind and tender. I know why. Her mommy and daddy are some of the funniest, but really kindest, most tender people I know. They care for people for a living. They have to be! (But I think they love it too!).
Now they have TWO MORE BABIES! I'm not kidding when I say they make it look easy. I know it isn't of course. BUT they smile the whole time.

I mean?!?!? This big brother? He melts me. He was such a great little participator. These two are going to be best buds immediately.
Little man slept like his whole session. And smiled. (Folks, this is not typical, he made it seem easy).
I have been combing my antique spots for all sorts of new bins and accessories. I love, love this wagon. It was a favorite buy years ago. Now looking for new things. Fairly obsessive about this kind of thing.

These gorgeous new little families! I'm like totally exhausted and thrilled at the same time! (and so are they!!).
The first baby is something amazing. These gorgeous new Mamas. Always questioning themselves, but doing amazing all at once. And really? Is there anything more handsome then a new dad holding his baby? I wouldn't let this man out of the house with that child.

Moving Home to Iceland
This family came in to get some portraits from their temporary home in Rochester before moving back to their home in Iceland!
Their little lad was fairly exhausted! But honestly, it made him even cuter. If that is possible.
He laughed only when tickled. And he would shake his head no if he didn't like something we were showing him to make him laugh. Ha! I loved it.

Yessssss!!! They had more babies. (I think all their friends and family agree!). They make beautiful ones and I love getting to hang out with them.
I went to their home. And I love that. We walk around and find cute spots. We use your things. The kids hang out and relax. It really is a beautiful way to capture this. (Unless you love props, if you love props and lots of choices, you will prefer the studio).
This little brother is very loved. And I think he is fitting right in!

Yes, you are seeing double. I find the universe hands me things in groups! It is twin week over here!
It was such a beautiful day. We loved getting to be outside. I decided I might start offering you the service of having balloons for you here waiting? Do you like that idea? Ask if you want them! I can do it for you. It was fun.
This little family is a favorite. (I know. I think I have a lot of favorites I say that a lot. BUT I do). Can you believe I took big brother's newborn photos? I can't. Why in the world do these babies grow so quickly!

These were at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua really minutes before a storm!
It was blustery and very "lakeside" weather.

Soon-to-be party of 4
Our new studio space is just about complete. This family was the first to have their session there with Paul!
Mr. Handsome loved interacting with the camera. 3 year olds are never and I mean never easy. But when are they? He was so much fun!
Don't fear coming to have portraits because you think your child would never behave. Not many do. We have lots of tricks up our sleeves!

Connor ONE
I met Connor when his family came in for a holiday session. I was SO excited to hear that they were coming for one year photos!
He literally had a blast! Smiled like crazy and danced in circles while her at his cake.

Blake's Year One
You will never regret having spent the money on the whole first year.
Put it on a credit card! (I wish I would have done that with my wedding photography…I'm not one to encourage debt, but it is something I would have spread out payment on in a heart beat for better photos!!! aaaahhh).
I have a new program I have been so hard at work on. Almost done and ready to show you.
We will be starting it off with a Maternity event! Come on new Mama's, lets spend this first year together!
The Spencer Family
The studio is great. I have so many beautiful props for babies and I love it for maternity. But I really love coming to families homes for their sessions. I know lots of people don't think they're home is beautiful enough for a photo session. But I strongly disagree.
Your home is so many things. It's your pets, your kids bedrooms where they play. It's the view you look at all the time. It's your front door. It's really a window into the lives of you and your children when they're little.
Don't hesitate to have me come to your home. Part of my skill is finding beautiful spots. This family loves their view from their backyard, so that's where we spent most of our time. I love to be at candid moments with the families and the kids. Their dog stayed right with us the whole time. I did no wrangling, she just did what she did and it was perfect.

Five
There are so many different milestones.
I think every family has things that are milestones to them.
Five is a big one or whatever age you send your little one off to kindergarten.
It is often the last time I'll see your Littles for a while, as they start the dreaded school photos.
It's kind of like your last little time with your baby before they turn into a big kid.

Nora | Rochester, NY Newborn Photography
I recently had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest little gal named Nora.
Her daddy bought a gift certificate for his pregnant wife for newborn photos. I have a feeling he is on her good side.
We like to be sure if there is an older sibling, that they feel special too!
This session was at the studio and in our outdoor space.
We can't wait to see Nora when she is sitting up and smiling at us!!
Pigtails & Crewcuts
Oscar got his first hair cut!
We went to Pigtails and Crewcuts in Henrietta and we loved it. Seriously.
Lauren was amazing; so calm and talented. She had all sorts of tricks up her sleeve and tons of really cute products!
I'm not going to give up all of the fun, you'll have to see for yourselves!
BUT they managed to not just give him a crummy haircut (and this boy is busy!). He looks downright hipster!
